Hi there! As editors of The Watson this year, Jack & I would like to welcome you back! Whether you are a history student familiar with what we do, or stumbling upon here for the first time, we're excited to embark on this new school year with all of you. Our awesome team has a full slate of cool new initiatives and returning old favourites that we hope will fire up your historical imagination, give you tonnes of trivia fodder, and serve as a helpful resource for your academic journey; from figuring out how to access those pesky databases in first year, to perhaps contemplating your future as you enter your final year.
We'll be announcing a slew of weekly and monthly segments in the coming week, but keep an eye out for our inaugural edition of this year's #TBT post (this Thursday, obviously), as well as an interview with Dr. Healey we're very excited to share. On Friday we'll be sharing the best puns, jokes and general history humour our team could come up with/scavenge on the internet, and we welcome submissions! Right now, "What vegetable did Christopher Columbus not want on his ship?" is the one to beat. (hint: the answer is Leek)
